Escrow & Trust
RipDeck is a peer-to-peer marketplace — sellers keep their own inventory and ship directly to you. Here's exactly how we make that safe.
For Buyers
How Your Spin Is Protected
01. Atomic Pull
The instant you click Spin, our server locks your card server-side. In the rare case two spins collide on the same card, your spin is fully refunded and you can spin again — you're never charged for a card you didn't get. The animation plays after the outcome is decided.
02. Seller Payout Goes Into Escrow
When you choose to ship, the seller's payout is held in escrow by RipDeck — not released immediately. The seller receives it only after your package is confirmed delivered.
03. Seller Has 72 Hours to Ship
After you request shipping, the seller has 72 real hours (approx. 48 business hours) to submit a valid tracking number. If they miss this deadline, the order auto-cancels and your spin cost is refunded to your RIP TOKEN balance. The seller gets a strike.
04. 48-Hour Dispute Window
Once tracking is added, you have 48 hours to file a dispute if the card arrives not as described, damaged, or never arrives. Hit the "File a Dispute" button on your order in your profile.
05. Seller Paid After Dispute Window
If no dispute is filed within 48 hours of the tracking being added, escrow automatically releases to the seller. If a dispute IS filed, our team reviews and decides.
Filing a Dispute
What Happens When You File
When you file a dispute:
- Escrow funds are immediately frozen — the seller cannot receive payment while the dispute is open.
- You can upload a photo or video of the item received as evidence (on the dispute form in your profile).
- Our team reviews the dispute, typically within 1–3 business days.
- If approved: your spin cost is refunded to your RIP TOKEN balance. The seller's trust score drops by 20 points.
- If rejected: The seller receives their payout. You keep the card.
Disputes should only be filed for genuine issues — misrepresented condition, wrong card, never arrived. Abuse of the dispute system will result in account suspension.

Inventory Lock Rules
When a card is placed into an active spin pool, it is locked. The seller cannot delete or modify it while it's live.
Sellers can voluntarily remove a card from the pool via their dashboard at any time — as long as no user has already pulled it. Once pulled, removal is not possible.
This prevents the core scam of a drop-ship marketplace: listing a card on multiple platforms and hoping users here spin it before you sell it elsewhere.
