How to photograph
your cards

📐 Framing

Place the card on a plain dark or light background. The card should fill 80–90% of the frame. Step back and use 2× optical zoom instead of getting close — this prevents perspective distortion and keeps corners sharp.

💡 Lighting

Use two lamps on either side of the card (45° angles) or a portable LED light box. Never use the camera's built-in flash directly on foil cards — it creates hotspots that obscure the surface. Natural indirect daylight also works well.

🔄 Front and Back

Both photos must be taken under the same lighting. The back lets buyers verify centering, corner condition, and any print defects before committing to ship.

📱 Phone Tips

Wipe your lens before shooting. Tap the card in your viewfinder to lock focus. Hold steady or use a simple phone stand. Most modern phones produce more than enough resolution when held 12–18 inches away at 2× zoom.

🔍 What to Capture

At minimum: clear front showing the product art and a clear back showing the factory seal seam. Buyers will look for undisturbed shrink wrap, intact corners, and no signs of re-sealing. The clearer your photos, the faster your listing will be approved.

💡 Lighting for Shrink Wrap

Avoid direct flash — it reflects harshly off plastic wrap. Shoot in indirect natural light or a light box. If you see glare, rotate the box slightly until the reflection moves off the seal area.
